With the Winter Approaching

With the Winter Approaching

Anxiety.
Strength leaves its mark in unheard corners,
far from beds and unturn'd stones.
Beating, pulsing, pushing free-
fall down.
Leaving home and back again,
bursting outward,
then back in.
Feel the rhythm down below-
fall down.
Give unto thee what thy returns,
receive nothing th'expectant brings.
Fall down.

Fall

down.

Notes From The Sports Desk

The Mets announced today that they intend to sign former Anaheim Angel of Los Angeles Francisco Rodríguez to a three-year $37 million deal that will hopefully give the Amazin's the bullpen boost it needs after this season.

I've never heard of this guy, but then again, I don't really know that much about baseball. Apparently in six full pitching seasons he's only been on the DL once. Great, great news. Also, he had SIXTY TWO saves for the Angels last season. So, uh, yeah, he's pretty good.

He's 26-so his best years are behind him, (or ahead of him? Discuss). Hailing from Caracas, he's a practicioner of the Santeria religion so do not get him on the field during ASPCA night at Citi (Shitty) Field in '09 Minaya. You hear me? And what else? He seems like a great guy! I really like him! Good luck Francisco! See you in '09!

Also, Lou Dobbs is an idiot and can't pronounce Blagojevich.
